Class of 2019

On June 14, 2019 the Class of 2019 graduated from Oak Hill Academy at the annual graduation ceremony inside the Scire Student Activities Center.  Culminating with a stellar high school acceptances, OHA has much to be proud. Pride in preparing its graduates for high school, college as well as the ever-changing landscape and challenges of their lives ahead.

The OHA Class of 2019 had many things to be proud of during this past year.  Christian Brothers Academy Model United Nations named Oak Hill the Best Large Delegation. Similarly, the academic team won second place at the Brother Christian Jones Middle School Math Tournament! Once again, OHA was the highest achieving Private/Parochial school at the nationally recognized Math Counts competition. Michael Gao, the only student from the Math Counts tri-county region to make the Top 10 individuals, was the #1 individual at the CBA Math Tournament too! The Oak Hill Academy Math team also took home first place again at the St. Joseph (Metuchen, NJ) High School Mathematics Competition held in January 2019.

A first for Oak Hill Academy

Eighth grader Robert Schweikert was the National Champion among 12,000 participants in the American Scholastic Challenge. The American Scholastic Press Association named Oak Hill’s literary magazine, Reflections, the Best PreK-8 Magazine. Their strength of this class was that they had so many options to continue their academic careers.

With a graduating class of 49, Oak Hill Academy graduates will be going to 19 different high schools!  Oak Hill had 14 acceptances into the very prestigious County Vocational Programs including 5 into High Technology (the #1 Ranked STEM school by US News & World Report), as well as Biotechnology, Allied Health, Communications, and M.A.S.T.  Incredibly, 70% of the OHA students who applied to these MCVSD schools were accepted.

Similarly many received acceptance into the Freehold Regional Specialized Programs such as Law & Public Service, Business, Medical Sciences, Performing Arts, Humanities, and Science & Engineering.  The school’s largest acceptances were to the parochial schools in the area and that totaled 39!  Finally, students earned admission into the following private schools: Lawrenceville, Phillips Exeter Academy, and Peddie to name a few.

Congratulations to all these fine graduates!
