Transportation Form

Hours for the normal day are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grades 1 – 8 and 8:00 am – 2:21pm for Kindergarten and 8:15 am – 2:16 pm for pre-kindergarten. An extended care program is provided daily on an hourly basis.

State law in New Jersey, Bill S 789, requires school districts which transport public school students to also provide busing for private school students, within a 20 mile radius. These children must be 5 years old or older. Where it is not feasible for a local Board of Education to arrange transportation, parents are given a reimbursement of approximately $1000 by the board.

The following towns have traditionally bused directly to Oak Hill Academy: Middletown and Holmdel

Freehold Regional District (Colts Neck, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Marlboro, Manalapan, Morganville, Howell, and Freehold) buses to St. Leo are where a shuttle bus brings students to OHA.

The following towns have traditionally bused to Christian Brothers Academy where a shuttle bus brings students to Oak Hill Academy: Aberdeen, Allenhurst, Bay Head, Belmar, Brielle, Brick, Fair Haven, Eatontown, Hazlet, Little Silver, Manasquan, Matawan, Neptune, Ocean, Oceanport, Old Bridge, Red Bank, Rumson, Sayreville, Sea Girt, Shrewsbury, Spring Lake, Tinton Falls, Toms River, Wall, West Keansburg, and West Long Branch.

If busing is provided, your local Board of Education is responsible for determining bus stops, routes, and times.

  • Dress Down Day

    All Students must still be prepared with sneakers for Physical Education class or they will be unprepared.as per the handbook: ;Hats, shorts, clothing with inappropriate sayings, clothing that is ripped, sandals, pajamas, slippers, flip flops, and tank tops are not permitted during the school day or during "dress down days." Professional “team jerseys” are permitted during “dress down days” as long as a t-shirt is worn underneath the sleeveless jersey. On a “dress down day,” slacks must be no higher than 5” above the ankle bone. On Dress Down days, skirts still should be of regulation length and blouses/shirts should be able to be tucked in at the waist. Short midriff and low cut blouses/shirts are not appropriate for school.
