Congratulations are in order to Oak Hill Academy for winning FIRST PLACE in the Marine Academy of Science and Technology (M.A.S.T.) Academic Jeopardy Contest on Oct. 27th!
Eight graders Molly Jain (Red Bank), Aarya Doshi (Hazlet), Alex Mitchell (Red Bank), Elizabeth Wright (Fair Haven) and Cakie Dym (Rumson) were the top team out of the 24 teams entered! Six schools participated: Barkalow, Forrestdale, Cedar Drive, Eisenhower, Brielle and OHA.

Played very much like Jeopardy, the some of the categories ranged from “Straits of the World” to “Wonders of the World” to “Marine Science” to “Punctuation Rules” to “Musical Notation” to “Young Authors Literature.” The categories and questions were difficult and thought provoking!
There are three rounds, with each round having 30 questions. At that time, the scores are tabulated and the top four teams compete in the trophy round! OHA’s top team had the highest number of points and was seeded first! OHA defeated Forrestdale in the semi finals and then beat Barkalow in the finals to capture first place!
