Oak Hill Academy Class of 2021 Shines Again with Acceptances to Attend Top Schools

On June 11, 2021 the Class of 2021 graduated from Oak Hill Academy at the annual graduation ceremony held outside on the outfield of Panetti Field for the second year in a row. Thankfully, we were able to get back on track and celebrate this class in June again at the end of the year. Dr. Patrick Leahy, President of Monmouth University, was our guest speaker whose message of “Be Your Own Person” resonated with graduates and families alike. Oak Hill Academy prides itself on the preparation of its graduates for not only high school and college, but also the ever-changing landscape and challenges of their lives ahead.

The OHA Class of 2021 had many things to be proud of during this past year. Oak Hill was named the Best Large Delegation at the annual Christian Brothers Academy Model United Nations event. The American Scholastic Press Association awarded Oak Hill’s literary magazine, Reflections, with First Place. The baseball team went 9-0-1 to complete a perfect season albeit shortened with no playoffs. These are just a few of the highlights that the Class of 2021 brought to the table this year. The OHA community worked tirelessly to ensure that all students had the opportunity to be in school all year full time. Nevertheless, it was a very challenging year for all of us, but the way this group of students persevered was incredible.
With a small graduating class of 25, Oak Hill Academy graduates will be going to 13 different high schools! This class was accepted into many different high schools; so there were some choices to be made. Oak Hill had 7 acceptances into the very prestigious County Vocational Programs including 1 into High Technology (the #1 Ranked STEM school by US News & World Report), as well as Biotechnology, Allied Health, Communications, and M.A.S.T. Similarly many received acceptance into the Freehold Regional Specialized Programs such as Law & Public Service, Business, and Culinary and Hospitality Management. The school’s largest acceptances were to the parochial schools in the area and that totaled 16! Finally, in addition to their public school districts, students earned the privilege to attend the following private schools: The Peddie School, The Hun School of Princeton, St. Edwards, St. Thomas Moore, as well as the Ranney School.
Congratulations to all these fine graduates!
