Two Records Set at Ranney Invitational
Two Records Set at Ranney Invitational on Thursday, February 8, the Oak Hill Academy Swim team participated in the Ranney Invitational Swim meet. Our team competed against 5 other schools (Pingry, Warklawy-Hartridge, Newark Academy, Pennington & host, Ranney) in all 22 events. After the waves settled, it was eighth grader, Elizabeth Wright that found herself not only on the podium, but as the New Record holder for the Meet as well as Oak Hill Academy in both the 50 M Freestyle and 200 M freestyle.
Elizabeth swam the 50M Free in a time of 28.85 seconds beating previous school record of Katie Freeman in 2016. Just two events later, she erased Chris Centrella’s 2012 record in the 200M Freestyle with a new mark of 2:15.36!!
Seventh grader Aaron Lee placed 3rd in the 50M Backstroke. Thank you to all of our swimmers who participated in the meet.
