Over the weekend one of the eighth graders from Oak Hill Academy, Caitlyn Ho, who had previously placed first in Monmouth County’s Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest, was awarded Second Place in the State of New Jersey!

Caitlyn was one of nine Oak Hill students to place in Monmouth County’s contest where the students wrote about “having lunch with a signer of The Declaration of Independence.” She was recognized in Princeton, New Jersey for her accomplishment.
All of the students came away with a better understanding of the signers and are becoming better patriots as a result of this contest.
Congratulations to our winners!
