This competition, sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and CNA Insurance, consists of 3 levels of testing.

The first round is a 30-question test completed in 40 minutes without the aid of a calculator.  Each of the questions gets progressively more difficult as the round continues.

The second round is comprised of 8 questions. Competitors are given 2 questions at a time and they have 6 minutes to solve them.

The third round is comprised of 10 very challenging questions. A four-person team work together to complete the questions in 20 minutes.

Oak Hill’s overall team score was high enough to earn us a place in the State Competition to be held on March 10th at Rutgers University.  This is the second time in the last 4 years Oak Hill will be competing at this level.  Oak Hill is the only private school in New Jersey to reach the State competition once again laying claim to being the Best Private School in New Jersey!
