NJ Private School Welcome We're Back

“We’re Back”

The last four weeks have proven to be successful in getting our students back in the learning mode, either live in school or remotely using our Swivl/Zoom technology.  The great news is that our teachers report that the possible learning loss of Oak Hill Academy student’s during this pandemic time has been minimal if at all.  I must attribute this to the extraordinary work our teachers, students and parents accomplished since mid-March.  Our summer math and reading initiatives also kept our students’ skills in place.

As I move around campus I view a learning environment where children are both engaged and happy. The students who are connecting with classes through our livestream option are not only participating, but feel like members of the class. All students are using their imagination to be both inquisitive and productive.  They enjoy the challenges their teachers present and they share their thoughts and ideas with their classmates.  Their excitement is contagious!

Being safe is always our number one consideration and once again our entire community is doing their part to keep us healthy.  Our parents are diligent about pre-screening at home before coming to school.  Our teachers are keeping their rooms as sanitized as possible and our students from PK-8 are following all health protocols that help us all stay safe.

So we are back and off to the beginning of a wonderful school year!
