Oak Hill Thespians rank Superior at the NJ Jr. Thespian Festival
Oak Hill Academy Drama Program Director, Mrs. Bridget DeVivo, took 19 Jr. Thespians (Troupe #89635) to the NJ Jr. Thespian Festival Saturday, May 3rd. It was held at the Grunin Performing Arts Academy on Ocean County College’s campus.
Fifteen of our Thespians competed in the category Musical Theatre – Large Group. They performed a nine minute medley from Grease and performed against 7 other schools. After all of the performances were scored, we received the rank of SUPERIOR, which is the highest rank possible!
Those who performed and received Superior ribbons were 8th graders: Violet Pladek, Adelle Fianko, Mayra Gupta, Aadarshini Chauhan, Blake Stokrocki, and 7th graders: Matt Deno, Logan Jalandoni, Boden DeVivo, Kaelan Harrington, Bryce Blackman, Nayan Patel, Lydia Griffith, Juliet Hartigan, Juliette Borak & Madison Terranova. Rounding out the team in attendance were Samaya Moore, Talia Waldman and Sabrina Cizin.
It was a great day filled with lots of fun workshops in improv, voice and dance. Mrs. DeVivo was super proud of the Jr. Thespians…they were incredible!
