7th Grader finishes Third in NJ in National Geographic Bee

At Rowan University on March 31, 2017, 102 students who qualified for the New Jersey National Geographic Bee came together for the NJ State Competition, which is open to 4th-8th Graders. Over 10,000 students compete in US. New Jersey is one of the most competitive states; many more entrants from here.

Seventh grader, Alex Mitchell was one of 22 students who made it to the tie breaker round with perfect scores. He then qualified for the Final Round, and competed strongly, finishing third in the state.  Alex received prizes and an National Geographic Book for his efforts and achievement.  Congratulations to Alex!!
