Oak Hill Students recognized in “Student Voices”

This spring, The Asbury Park Press Student Voices  section offered another topical themed writing contests for interested students in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Oak Hill Academy’s 7th and 8th grade Language Arts classes participated in this prestigious writing contest.  This Spring’s Topic was If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be, and why?

NJ Private School Essay Winners

Oak Hill Academy student’s were once again recognized for their advanced writing skills. After her second place award in the fall, 7th grader Evalina Bee Zerres was awarded First Place for her submission entitled, “The Deep River Between Us“. Her classmates Isotta Valentino Towner was awarded Second Place for her essay, “The Best Path to Victory” and Andie Sparano secured Honorable Mention. Thank you to Mrs. Daly and Ms. McKeon for their help with this supporting their students and this contest.  Wonderful writing by all students!

  • Dress Down Day

    Thursday, June 1  7:55 am - 2:30 pm

    All Students must still be prepared with sneakers for Physical Education class or they will be unprepared.as per the handbook: ;Hats, shorts, clothing with inappropriate sayings, clothing that is ripped, sandals, pajamas, slippers, flip flops, and tank tops are not permitted during the school day or during "dress down days." Professional “team jerseys” are permitted during “dress down days” as long as a t-shirt is worn underneath the sleeveless jersey. On a “dress down day,” slacks must be no higher than 5” above the ankle bone. On Dress Down days, skirts still should be of regulation length and blouses/shirts should be able to be tucked in at the waist. Short midriff and low cut blouses/shirts are not appropriate for school.
