On Tuesday, May 1, the Oak Hill Academy Kindergarten class performed the 25th annual May Pole Program for the entire school as well as friends and family. The tradition was started in 1994 by since retired Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Peggy Ann Schwartz. Boys and girls in kindergarten dress up in their Spring best to sing and dance the May Pole song followed by their rendition of “Skidamarink” sung to their families. The kindergarten are accompanied by a chorus made up of students in grades 1-8 who have also participated in the tradition themselves. Congratulations to Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Jennifer Gilfillan and Mrs. Dawn Colbert and their students for a wonderful performance.
