In an abundance of caution and just keeping our fingers crossed, we wanted to review some procedures in case we ever have to go to Remote Learning.
Today, we have asked our students and teachers to just practice by getting into Google Classroom, going over their Remote Learning schedules, seeing which materials should be brought home, getting into the corresponding online textbooks, going over the guidelines for videoconferencing etc.
Attached are reminders and explanations for Remote Learning:
- Reminders Regarding Remote Learning
- Video conferencing Rules and Guidelines for Students
- Remote Learning Guide for Students, Parents, and Teachers.
Listed below are some of the highlights:1. We will have a one day buffer where it will give teachers the opportunity to coordinate and communicate with our students, so NO Zoom sessions that first day.2. The remote schedule will be Monday-Friday, NOT A-F.3. Upper School after school Help will be held on regularly scheduled days at 2:30.Will end at 3:00pm. 4. Lower School Help will be scheduled accordingly. Please refer to your child’s Homeroom teacher for the weekly schedule.5. Upper School Tuesday Talks will be held every Tuesday from 2:10-2:30pm. Help to follow6. Upper School students received a hard copy of their individual Remote Learning schedule today. A copy can also be found in their Sycamore Portal.
Again, this is PRECAUTIONARY! We continue to be very fortunate to not have any positive Covid-19 cases within our faculty, staff or students. However, we must also be aware of the protocols that the State of New Jersey might impose upon us.
Stay safe and healthy!
Sincerely,
Joseph A. Pacelli
