Reminder of CDC guidelines concerning the holidays – October 2020
As we continue to work our way through this pandemic, I would like to thank everyone for their tremendous effort and care in following all protocols to help our school community stay healthy.
As we approach the cold and flu season, we must continue to follow all guidelines that have been issued by health experts, CDC officials, and our school.
The up and coming holiday time presents a somewhat different challenge since tradition brings us together more often with family and friends. Unfortunately, this cherished socialization also lends itself to a possible increase in the risk of transmission of illnesses such as Covid-19.
This risk can be minimized with all of us being mindful and by taking a number of basic precautions. Understanding that socialization is important and a needed component that we all crave, I ask you to review the attached CDC holiday guidelines so that we can all celebrate while trying to avoid as much risk as possible.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. As has been customary, if you will be visiting any of the states that are listed on NJ’s travel advisory, the state of NJ asks that you self-quarantine for 14 days. If you have a question about your specific circumstance and the need to stay home from school or quarantine, please reach out to our school administrators and Mrs. Linda Malinowski, our school nurse.
I wish all of our Oak Hill families and staff a very happy and healthy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Joseph A. Pacelli
