Oak Hill Academy has been chosen as a destination stop on the route of the “WREATHS Across AMERICA” convoy to Arlington National Cemetery in December, 2018.

On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, Oak Hill Academy in Lincroft, will be hosting the convoy which includes 12 tractor trailers, 1 VIP bus, 25 SUV’s and up to 10 Maine State Trooper vehicles with the plan of an 8:30am arrival. We will be having a 2 hour + program honoring the Veterans, Gold Star/Blue Star families and dignitaries. The convoy will continue down to Arlington where thousands of volunteers will meet the WAA on Saturday, December 15th and place wreaths on every veterans grave in Arlington National Cemetery.

“WREATHS Across AMERICA” is a non-profit 501-(c)(3) organization that has the motto of “Remember, Honor, Teach.” They place wreaths on the graves of many veterans throughout the United States, most notably, all 400,000 graves of veterans at Arlington National Cemetery.

As a school community, we would like to sponsor wreaths for this worthy endeavor to honor the veterans who have fought for us and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

If you would like to sponsor a wreath (individual wreath is $15), please do so online by visiting Oak Hill Academy’s group page at:  www.WreathsAcrossAmerica.org/NJ0120 and click on “Sponsor Wreaths.”          The Fundraising Group ID is :     NJ0120                   The Location ID is:   ARLING

We would like to have all donations in place by December 12th. We will be making a presentation to Morrill and Karen Worcester, founders of Wreaths Across America, at our program on December 12th.
