STEAM Camp

  • open to students entering kindergarten through fourth grade
  • 8:30 – 10:00 am
  • $165

Mrs. Savarese will head up the Fairy Tales STEAM Camp combining classic stories with hands-on STEAM and literary activities.  As children read different fairy tales, they will be asked to assess the problem the main characters faced in the story.  It will then be their job to create a hands-on solution for each character.  For example, when reading Little Red Riding Hood, students may discover that making a zip line through the forest would have gotten Little Red to grandmother’s house faster.  Students will use various materials to complete each STEAM challenge.  Throughout this process they will build critical language and literacy skills, boost creative expression, master early engineering concepts and much more!
